Claire Bemister Photography recently sent us some awesome photos from Jasmine and JC’s unique Christchurch wedding. The couple run The Vintage Photo Booth Company, so their wedding was always going to a true, unique reflection of them.
We love that they weren’t afraid to do things differently- they were both walked down the aisle, they sent their guests to the pub during their couple portraits, and they even took some time to feed the birds down by the harbour. The groomsmen had homemade wooden bowties and Jasmine had her own lollipop sign to escort her across the road! To top it all off, they arrived at their wedding reception by boat!
Simple Wedding Ceremony with individual touches
The couple were married at The Kings Arms in Christchurch, with a simple, bright ceremony. The white walls and chairs gave a very open feel, with magical fairy light decoration. JC walked down the aisle first with his mother in hand before Jasmine walked with her dad, bringing tears to guests’ eyes!
JC and the groomsmen all wore handmade wooden bowties, and paper flowers made from sheet music- which are awesome quirky touches! Jasmine glowed in her white wedding gown, with pearl details in her hair and pastel blues in her bouquet.
When The Bride Stops Traffic...
STOP- Bride crossing! On the way to the ceremony, Jasmine and the bridal party we’re escorted across the road by a lollipop man! This is such a fun idea, and one of the day’s many quirky wedding touches.
With their guests happily at the pub post-ceremony, the newlyweds had a wander around their favourite parts of Christchurch for some couple portraits.
Quirky Wedding Transport... Arriving in style!
The guests and couple made their way to Christchurch Rowing Club for afternoon tea. Everyone cheered as the couple arrived… by boat! What a great way for them to enjoy some alone time and soak in the moment, as well as surprising the guests! The room was dotted with retro video games; a fun, quirky addition to the wedding!
You can tell from the photos that Jasmine and JC look over the moon. This unique Christchurch wedding day was filled with love and lots of personal touches, which Claire Bemister Photography captured brilliantly!
