Well, It’s that time of year again. Team UW are winding down for Christmas with a mince pie and a mulled wine (or 3). What a crazy year it’s been for us and our Tribe Members. If you’ve supported our little wedding directory and blog in any way, we cannot thank you enough! Sending out lots of love this Christmas and wishing you all a good one!
Back to weddings. We have a Christmas elopement wedding shoot for you! It celebrates the beauty of keeping things simple, putting your wellies on and getting a little muddy. These romantic moments were captured by Fly On The Wall Photography at The Sheffield Christmas Tree Farm. Even in the cold weather, these photos feel warm and fuzzy- Like mulled wine…!

a christmas elopement wedding in the trees
What a brilliant location for a Christmas elopement. Adele from Fly on The Wall Photography told us:
“Sheffield Christmas Tree Farm was like nothing I’d seen before. The place is spectacular, and I just needed to plan a wedding shoot there! Did you know it takes approximately 20 years to grow a Christmas tree that you would have in your front room? I couldn’t believe that!”
The team were blessed with that gorgeous golden light, adding a magic glow to the photos. Ash and Natalie are a real couple from Chesterfield, and their connection shines through, especially in the stunning video by Keeley Wedding Films.

Keeping it simple... the DIY wedding mindset
I love the DIY approach to this Christmas elopement wedding. The dress is vintage, and the jacket is high street. You don’t need to spend a fortune to have a beautiful wedding. It’s more environmentally friendly to go pre-loved, and more wallet friendly! The groom is keeping it simple too with tan trousers, white shirt and Christmassy red tie.
Mazz Loxton Hair and Makeup Artistry created a natural look for the bride, with a casual messy bun and soft makeup. Perfect for an outdoor affair!

beautiful christmas wedding values
In true Christmas spirit, this elopement wedding shoot is all about the love. It’s not about grandeur or bold statements, but two people celebrating their unique connection. This is one of our key values here at Unconventional Wedding- we’re all about the LOVE!
One last time, a very merry Christmas from us. Tell your loved ones that you love them. Be sure to check out our alternative wedding directory and blog for more loveliness!
