Creating A Victorian Garden Wedding

Here’s what Sharon from Velvet Rose Ceremonies told us about this eccentric Victorian wedding:

“This shoot took place at The Tudors At Balmoral, a Victorian house in Warrington. It has so many beautiful details and amazing gardens. I wanted to show people that you can have a wonderfully unconventional wedding in a more traditional venue. The inspiration was my love of both the Victorian and the whimsical.

There are two defined areas within the shoot. Outside is the enchanted garden area, with lots of jewel tones, cakes, biscuits, and sweet treats. The inside has a more traditional Victorian feel with a colourful twist.”

You can’t beat an outdoor wedding ceremony, and who better to conduct it than Velvet Rose Ceremonies?!

This eccentric Victorian wedding was styled by our Unconventional Foxglove & Black, who also provided the colourful wedding flowers. We’re loving this unique table styling, complete with mossy foliage, eclectic crockery by The Partea Company and adorable toadstool sculptures by Pixies World Of Whimsy. All elements are tied together by the jewel wedding colour scheme, full of rich tones. The furniture for the outdoor ceremony was provided by Cestrian Event Hire.

The eye catching centrepiece is the colourful wedding cake by That Little Cake Place, surrounded by lots of lovely sweet treats.

You can’t have an outdoor wedding without lawn games! These were provided by Glamour Events Hire.

Victorian Meets Whimsical - Unique Wedding Styling

Share Luxury Grazing provided the wedding grazing table for this shoot, served on crockery by Tipples. The inside table is decorated with tall candles and flowers in glass domes, with a velvet runner, all in keeping with the jewel tone colour scheme. The stationery by Foxglove & Black ties the look together with the butterfly motif.

Colourful Victorian Wedding Wear

How brilliant do Taheerah and Caelan look in this alternative Victorian wedding wear? These outfits were designed by our Unconventional Scarlet-Tayla and we love the playful reimaginations of Victorian designs, complete with colourful makeup by Cali Hair & Beauty and hair styling by Gemma Harris. Maddison Rocks provided the gorgeous alternative wedding bouquets and headpieces, complete with little butterfly details! To complete the looks, the couple exchanged unique wedding rings from our Unconventionals The London Victorian Ring Company.
