Unconventional Wedding

Edgy Boho Skull Wedding

Today we’d like to share with you a very sophisticated boho wedding shoot, with some awesome, quirky and alternative touches. Captured by Perfect Timing Photography, we love these funky skulls (made from ethically sourced animal skulls), and the fabulous wedding styling!

Perfect Timing- Skull Shoot-Standing

Alternative wedding styling for the boho bride

Skye, Queen of Skulls, uses ethically sourced animal skulls and turns them into unique pieces of art. These pieces are perfect for couples that are looking to incorporate some unconventional art into their wedding day. Skye combines natural and manmade beauty to honour and capture the magnificence of the animals.

A wide range of skulls are featured in this shoot, including: Large water buffalo, Racka sheep (with the amazing twisted horns!), and the small roe deer included in the table setting. All the skulls are ethically sourced, then cleaned, treated and embellished to accentuate the natural splendour of each unique skull. If you’re looking for a truly quirky touch to your boho wedding day then definitely add these to your list!

A Grand wedding Venue & Alternative Styling

Putteridge Bury is a gorgeous, grand venue, perfect for this boho wedding inspiration. We LOVE the regal and rich burgundy and gold colour palette woven with hints of boho and alternative wedding styles. Adding coloured chiffon chair dressings (from Rosetone to the tablescape created by Venue Styling By Sarah creates a soft, feminine feel. All topped off with large lanterns, candles, bottles and matching coloured fruit.

And how awesome is the Wedding Stationery? Jenny, from Ever After Paperie, designed the this bold wedding stationery set featuring gold calligraphy and sophisticated wax seals. There was also some hand painted, unusual Capiz shell place names. The lovely little favour boxes, from Bomboniere by Maria, tied in perfectly with the colour scheme.

Tracey from Floral Art and Design. designed an amazing centre piece, bouquet and buttonhole. Peacock feathers were incorporated into the bridal bouquet, linking in with the animal/nature theme. The bouquet inspired Ruby (The Rose Cake Parlour) to incorporate flowers and berries into the cake design, which is intricately iced on all three tiers.

Stunning matching boho Wedding Wear

Bridal model Cathy looks beautiful this Lilian West boho wedding dress, loaned by George James Bridal, complimented by a beautiful hair vine by Honey V Tiaras. She looks sophisticated, with a bohemian softness. A selection of matching garters by Silk Garters are also featured in this shoot.

The bridal makeup, by JA makeup, was kept natural and radiant, with a bold pop of burgundy on the lips. Emma Kim created a half-up, half-down hair style, which looks soft and effortless, complimented by the bohemian Honey V hair vine.

Groom Josh wears a dapper blue 3-piece wool suit from The Vintage Suit Hire Company. It includes a burgundy tie and handkerchief to match the colour palette.
