Advice from Bride Kelly: Rocking A Viking Festival Wedding
fun & free-spirited viking festival wedding
Festival weddings are our favourite, especially when they’re packed with personality like this one!
Kelly and Graham got legally married before their wedding day so they could enjoy a celebrant led ceremony on their celebration day. They had a personalised handfasting and sand mixing ceremony that included their daughters. They incorporated a pagan chant and wrote their own vows.
We’re LOVING Kelly’s bridal look – a little bit boho, a little bit badass. She’s also an MUA (Kollective by Kelly Odel) so it was fitting that she did her own wedding makeup! Graham is rocking the Viking look with faux fur.
A cheese wedding cake - Yum!
Not a cake lover? There are so many alternative wedding cake options and this cheese and pork pie creation looks yummy!
At this Viking festival wedding, the wedding breakfast was a hog roast, and the evening food was a fish and chip van. Brilliant!
viking festival wedding entertainment
If we had to use one word to sum up this Viking festival wedding, it would be FUN! The couple went all out on alternative wedding entertainment – including archery, a fire performance, a bouncy castle, axe throwing, tug of war, hula hoops, a magician, a ceilidh band and a silent disco! Talk about something for everyone!
Entertainment at festival weddings can help create a fun atmosphere, bring the families together and create lasting memories.
badass wedding photos for an alternative couple
A truly modern couple, Kelly and Graham met on Tinder! After a few weeks of messaging, they were besotted with one another and have continued to grow together. They have since become incredibly inked! On their first date and engagement date, they got tattoos together. They incorporated tattoos into their big day with temporary tats for their guests.
viking festival weding decor - practically glastonbury!
The Viking festival wedding decor included foliage, rune symbols, feathers, faux fur, and reindeer skulls. Fairy lights, vines, decorated hoops, and wooden furniture all created such a magical vibe.
