Ethereal Autumn Wedding Inspiration

As the days get shorter and colder, Summer now seems a distant memory. Many autumn/winter brides worry about looking stylish and staying warm at their wedding. Fear not! This blog showcases some beautiful, ethereal autumn wedding styling with a warm and regal colour palette. Sent in by Adorn By Ashley, this styled shoot demonstrates how to add some warmth to your autumn wedding… in style!

Earthy, Ethereal Autumn Wedding Location

This autumn wedding shoot was built from an earthy colour palette, with a royal plum colour adding flare and warmth. There is a slight fantasy feel to these photos, Brilliantly snapped by Birgitta Zoutman Photography who took some inspiration from Lord Of The Rings.  She’s captured the deep, autumn colours beautifully!

Hawkstone Park Follies in Shropshire is a brilliant location for wedding photos. With the warm colours juxtaposing the silver skies, the follies evoke such a moody and mysterious other worldliness. It’s not hard to imagine a fairy queen wandering the forest pathways and surveying her kingdom from the rocky outcrops. The ethereal location was also used to film parts of the ‘Narnia’ film adaptations!

The autumn bride- stylish and cosy!

It doesn’t get more original than rocking a showstopping cape on your wedding day! Adorn by Ashley’s autumn/winter cape creations promise both warmth and unique style. They feature a mix of textures with metallic touches created with trailing leaves, floor length tassels and intricate hand embroidery. The hand-crafted hair pieces by Wisheart Tiara Design go perfectly with the capes, made with quartz, amethyst and amber stones. The bride wears a simple cut dress to showcase the detailing on the capes and head pieces.

The hair and makeup was styled by Michelle Watson, keeping the hair in simple soft waves to emphasise the bride’s gorgeous ruby locks. Her eyes were emboldened with reds, oranges, browns and golds. The autumn wedding look was emphasised with a plum lip.

Natural Autumn Inspirations- Foraged Flora

The floral arrangements by The Black Pearl Florist were designed to mirror the surrounding flora of the follies with a very natural shape and rhythm to the bouquet with a few textured ‘unusual’ flowers to add depth.

The autumn wedding cake by The Sugar Cart was also inspired by natural foliage, reflecting the colours abundant at this time of the year. The base colour of the cake was matte black to match the moody atmosphere of the Hawkstone Follies, which also created a beautiful contrast to the vibrant colours of the foraged decorations. Who says wedding cakes must be white?!

This ethereal autumn wedding shoot is so well put together, with consistent themes throughout. These photos could enchant any autumn bride with the unusual accessories, magical location and awesome little touches!
