Our top tips for a Harry Potter Wedding Day

SET THE TONE FROM THE BEGINNING

Send marauders map themed wedding save the dates or invitations! Get extra bonus points for any magical touches you can add in. Flying snitches anyone?

The little touches

You don't need to spend a fortune to show your love & devotion to Hogwart's. Invest in a show stopper Harry Potter wedding cake or create your own snitches. Get creative!

MISCHIEF MANAGED

With the right wedding venue, there is no reason why you can't go for a fully themed Hogwarts reception with wand fights and floating wedding cakes

Use your wedding stationery to set the Scene

We really think your wedding stationery is key when it comes to planning your Harry Potter wedding. Whether you belong in Gryffindor or Slytherin, a good stationery designer will bring your ideas to life.

The best bit is that you can continue your theme into your ‘On the Day’ stationery. We specifically LOVE this marauders map inspired table plan.  And there is always room for more magical illustrations like owls, potions and flying candlesticks!

The little touches - From wedding cakes to Personalised shoes!

We are big fans of the little touches here at Unconventional Wedding. They don’t have to break the budget and can really bring your theme to life. First up, we just had to share this EPIC Harry Potter wedding cake from Debbie Gillespie Cake Design. And perfectly topped off with a snitch!

Two perfect wedding accessories ideas now for you. How about an awesome paper wedding bouquet like this one by our Unconventional member Eternal Posey. It’s made out of pages of the Harry Potter book! The best thing about Alternative Bouquets is that they will last forever as a keepsake.  Paper bouquets are treated so they’re waterproof.  Alternatively, you could get a felt or beaded wedding bouquet with themed charms. There are so many options!

And, look at these spellbinding Harry Potter Wedding Shoes by our Unconventional Inanna Bespoke Shoes! Customised wedding shoes are an awesome way to incorporate your personality and theme into a bridal look.
