Looking for something bright for your big day? You’re in the right place! This blog post is jam packed with rainbow inspiration, demonstrating how bright colours can be tastefully incorporated into your wedding. This shoot, courtesy of Twin Flame Styling, is an absolute beauty. Packed with gorgeous flowers and crystals, this advice blog is a must see!
1) Be bold and fearless!
A bright, mixed colour palette can often be easier than sticking to one colour, because it gives you so much freedom. Anything goes, and this adds an excitement to your wedding. Bright colours are uplifting and great for celebrations. With colour, there are so many opportunities to inject your personalities without restriction, and to have fun with your decorations! You could even ask guests to come dressed colourfully, for a super bright wedding!
2) Add Some Crystal Magic
This shoot is inspired by amethyst and citrine. Besides looking absolutely gorgeous, using crystals in your wedding can bring good energy, prosperity and love. Amethyst is great for protecting against negativity and clearing the mind while citrine emanates joy and abundance (amongst many other things!) If this is up your street, it may be worth looking into! Even if you don’t believe in crystal healing properties, they can be great sentiments that represent your values. The crystals in this shoot are stunning decorations that can be used as statement pieces or small touches.
3) Make A Statement With Your Wedding Flowers
Make a bold statement with flowers to set your colour palette. Mixing flower types and contrasting colours will look eclectic and bold. Why not check out our suppliers list to find a great wedding florist? If you have favourite flowers, incorporate those for a personal touch. For consistency, you could incorporate the floral design into head pieces, table pieces, or even hanging flower chains. Gathering inspiration from mood boards can help get the creativity flowing for similar ideas. This shoot features bold flower arrangements by Hello Possum that match the stunning headdresses and the flowers on the cake. The flowers are even mirrored on the stunning jacket by Sammy Lea’s Retro Emporium. This consistency holds the colour scheme together.
4) Don't over-do it!
Simplicity is key! The risk with colourful weddings is that it can easily look too busy, with too much going on. Keep your décor simple but add bold, colourful statements to really make your colours pop. You might consider plain white table cloths, or rustic wooden tables. Of course other coloured items will look fab, like the crystals for example- the trick is just to not over-do it. These simple name tags by Mama Inc Studio are a great example of a minimalistic touch.
