Your wedding, your way. Its about you and your relationship. Which is why I totally loved this minimalist styled elopement shoot from tribe member Caroline Goosey as soon as it hit my inbox (actually I loved it before I even saw the whole suite of photos).
Why do I love it? Because its simple. A summer evening, a couple in their day to day clothles, stunning flowers, celebrating their love for each other. It could easily be an engagement shoot!
Capturing the Connection
What was the inspiration behind this styled elopement shoot?
“I wanted to capture the connection between this couple, because I think so many couples spend so much of their wedding planning focussed on details and the comfort of their guests that they overlook their own relationship!
I love the intimate shots [and]…. also wanted to incorporate the landscape, so I purposefully chose a location that could offer gorgeous dappled shade as well as sweeping open vistas.
I’m always looking for inspiration in arty tv shows, and I love the framing and tones in shows like Mad Men and Mr Robot. I was keen for the couple to wear high street clothes rather than things from bridal boutiques because I wanted to give a sense that this couple had just run away to live their best lives” Caroline

our favourite photo
I also ask the person behind a styled elopement shoot what their favourite photo is. This was Caroline’s and I can totally understand why!
“Ash is behind Ellie, with his arms around her shoulders. The sky behind this is a lovely aqua blue and they just look so bloody happy. Around this point in the shoot, they said they’d not felt this connected with each other in a long time. I’d been asking them to hold each other and kiss now and then, and by this point I could see how genuinely relaxed and happy they were” Caroline
