I’m Louise Gather, and I am your go-to for kickass gatherings! My speciality is writing and performing wedding ceremonies that are both heartfelt and hilarious – I can guarantee laughter, fun and happy tears! I absolutely LOVE my job, because every couple’s story and every wedding day is completely unique. Finding me on Unconventional Wedding means you’re probably planning a day that is a bit different from the norm – and that means it will be right up my street!

As a Humanists UK Accredited celebrant, I’d love to work with you if you are non-religious but want a meaningful ceremony that perfectly reflects your relationship and world views. The story of your relationship forms a big part of your celebrant ceremony, and I will take the time to really get to know you (seriously… it can feel a little bit like couple’s therapy at times!) before creating a completely bespoke and beautiful wedding ceremony. But that means no random stranger you’ve never met turning up to marry you on your big day; no copy and paste scripts; no ‘insert names here’ templates; and no generic waffle. I am passionate about equality, and always create inclusive wedding ceremonies which use language appropriate to you and your guests.

Whether you have already decided how you’d like your ceremony to be, or all you know is that you want something epic and different but you need some ideas and inspiration, get in touch and I’ll work my magic. I am based in Derby but pretty portable!
