I’m Claire, a West Midlands-based, published alternative wedding and elopement photographer. Thank you for stopping by Winter Peach Photography. I love the unadulterated joy of weddings, especially weddings with a laid back vibe, personality and creativity. I’m a self taught photographer and as such, my own style has evolved over time. I like to ignore rules and love couples who do the same!

As a devourer of popular culture, I tend to approach weddings as mini movies or music videos, focusing on the style and personality of the starring couple and capturing the day in a series of “scenes.” Candid, documentary style photography and details are what I love. Meticulously staged shots are not really for me, instead I aim for natural couples’ portraits and work quickly on those to avoid the dreaded “face ache” which invariably results in photos that don’t truly represent the subjects. Keeping it light is the best approach to keep you smiling and keep things moving! I don’t limit myself in terms of style. Whilst I am drawn to the dark side and love a moody image, equally, a vibrant and colourful scene makes my heart sing! As standard, I offer a mix of colour and black and white photos, but for those who like something a little different, I can get creative with my edits, experimenting with texture and colour to create something truly magical.

Being centrally based, I’m not that far from anyone in the UK and will travel for the right couple. There are various packages on my website, but there’s no “one size fits all” so talk to me! I have a fun way of establishing the brief and do like to meet couples prior to the day. This ensures we’re all happy and in agreement as to my role so all you have to do is concentrate on having a fabulous time!
