Winter elopement - When love is the most important thing!
So, instead of postponing their wedding day, this badass couple actually brought it forward! All the trials of 2020 lead Luci and Alex to realising that the most important thing was their love and that time is precious. They just wanted to be married, so arranged a winter elopement three months before the original wedding date was set.
This wedding took place at Millbrook Estate in North Devon. The couple raved about the stunning grounds and cosy accommodation, perfect for elopements and micro weddings.
Just because you’re scaling down your wedding doesn’t mean you can’t have a feast! Luci and Alex had a three-course meal from Cooking With Gazz.

how to rock a Winter elopement - pandemic wedding advice
Here’s some pandemic wedding advice from the lovely couple:
“Our advice would be try not to worry. As stressful as weddings can be, people sometimes lose sight of what it’s actually about – just two people who want to share their love! Less is more, sometimes. Everything will work out in the end, even if it’s not down to every slight detail that was planned. Remember it’s just a day and you have the rest of your lives to make up for anything that didn’t go according to plan.”
Covid may be a pain in the butt, but that won’t stop us from lovin’! When there’s a will, there’s a way. Sometimes, When you don’t put too much pressure on an occasion and allow things to unfold naturally, that’s where the magic happens! Just like Luci and Alex found out with their winter elopement, you might just end up with something better than you imagined. Happy wedding planning!
