We have a beautiful, moody elopement wedding styled shoot to share today which is full of gothic wedding influences! Sent in by Hannah from Finn & The Fox Photography, it demonstrates darker styling without being too ‘gothic’. It includes a black wedding dress, skull wedding accessories and Texas inspired styling in The New Forest, South England. Take a peep!
How to rock a moody elopement look
Simple and Moody Elopement Styling
As elopements are usually intimate, with a small amount of people involved, Hannah decided to do the same for this wedding shoot. She kept the suppliers to a minimum and ordered all the decorations from Amazon. It’s simple and affordable, but beautiful!
The stunning black wedding dress by Bexbrides is perfect for this moody elopement wedding, with mesh polka dot detail and a gorgeous tie at the back. The make up was kept light and glowing by Make Up by Lu Lar, and the hair was swept into a loose, bohemian plait by Sonya Jayne Bridal Hair, ensuring that the styling wasn’t too heavy looking. The shoot is adorned with tiny skulls and other quirky accessories by Peculiar By Nature– these are in the bride’s hair, on the grooms cufflinks and dotted in the decorations!
Quirky Wedding Decorations- Macramé & Succulents
The candle lit table is simple and bohemian looking, with a macramé tablecloth and minimal decoration. Maia Sellen Floral Designs graced the elopement shoot with gorgeous flowers, adding succulents and feathers for texture. The flowers are also seen on the minimalistic, vegan cake by Cakes and Leaves– Dina only uses natural ingredients!
The team have done a brilliant job with this moody elopement wedding, creating a relaxed yet edgy look with quirky & gothic features. Sometimes, simplicity is the key to creating something beautiful!
