how to recreate this look
A nice day for a red wedding
Red, gold and black – what a colour scheme! The bold red against the natural backdrop is striking, elegant and unexpected. The table pops with contrasting colours, with black as the foundation colour with red and gold styling.
The place names, table number and welcome sign, by Corlia Creations, were tied into the theme using gold leaf. The clear signs are brilliant as you can still have a beautiful background in clear view! A lovely finishing touch is the blackbird cage by The Treasure Box.
Stacy Oakley Calligraphy provided the black and red wedding stationery, with yummy matching chocolate favours by Bon Chocolat. This stationery adds a luxury feel and sets the theme from the moment your guests get their invitations.
Flowers to tie it all together
Flowers can really tie a look together. Triangle Nursery created the stunning table centerpiece and arch for this red wedding shoot. They said:
“We love to get our creative juices flowing, so this fabulous styled shoot ticked all the boxes! Our visual inspiration was passionate rich red tones with the drama of black and gold influences to embellish this enchanting woodland setting. We combined Skimmia Japonica Rubella, Rose Hips, Rose Freedom, Amaryllis and Chrysanthemum blooms to produce a striking monochromatic colour palette. Clever use of foliage embraces the woodland setting. We used dramatic Ostrich feathers and red Amaryllis to adorn the theatrical arch.”
a showstopping red wedding dress
This red wedding dress, from Kiss Dress Hire, is simply stunning! You don’t always need to go to a wedding shop to find ‘the one’ – renting is a great, environmentally friendly option! The matching red veil was made bespoke by Visionary Veils. The textured updo by Dawn Taylor Wedding Hair & Beauty and the smoky eye makeup by Milly’s Beauty Room bring the look together. Complete with some black Doc Martens, this rock chick is ready to get married! The groom is suited and booted by Coes, with a red and black suit to match his bride. The pair are rocking a gold pendant and cufflinks by Moda London.
