Halloween is just around the corner so we are LOVING sharing our favourite themed wedding ideas. This Stranger Things wedding is eclectic, retro and full of quirkiness, with a dreamy woodland backdrop. This weird and wonderful shoot was sent to us by Claire from Winter Peach Photography and we think you’re gonna like it. Wanna get hitched in The Upside Down? Keep reading!

How To Have A Stranger Things Wedding
Keep It Retro
Try to nail at least a couple of 80s details for added authenticity, whether it’s hair and make-up, a vintage item of clothing, or a prop.
Use Your Imagination
Pay attention to the colour palette and don’t be afraid to experiment!
Go Big!
Throw the rule book out of the window. Forget less is more. It’s the 80s after all!
80s Woodland Wedding Styling
We are LOVING this Stranger Things wedding theme. The team wanted to create a ‘world within a world’ with this gorgeous woodland backdrop, keeping the 80s aesthetic and adding in some quirky details to nod to the TV series. Bunch Floral Design created the wonderfully eclectic flowers for this shoot, with the intention of them looking slightly odd and almost ‘alien looking’. The 80s vibes were brought by Hint Of Vintage Hire who created the retro cocktail lounge set up, complete with wicker chairs and a drinks cart! A little touch of ‘The Upside Down’ was added with this stunning wedding cake by Amy Baker’s Cakes – so classy with a quirky twist!
We love the little details that make this shoot feel so special, from the BMX to the classic Rover V8!
Stranger Things Wedding Wear
How brilliant do Chloe & Tim look? It’s as if they’ve stepped straight out of the 80s!
Elegance Hair Design and Selina MUA really absorbed the mood board and transformed Chloe into an 80s bride. Scarlet Tayla handmade this gorgeous, whimsical wedding dress with black and white tulle and a pink fitted bodice. A vintage bowler hat was added for a touch of individuality. Becci Boos Bridal Designs handpainted some 80s-inspired Doc Martens to add to this badass wedding look. Amy Baker’s Cakes not only created the upside-down wedding cake but also created this handpainted denim jacket! Finally, Charlotte Berry Jewellery supplied the wedding rings for those romantic finishing touches.
Andrea from Your Celebrant conducted a woodland handfasting, bringing laughs and a uniquely personal wedding ceremony with some brilliant Stranger Things references.
