This decadent wedding shoot is moody, passionate, opulent and downright gorgeous! This one comes all the way from Italy, sent into us by Studio Fotografico Bacci, and it exudes classic Italian elegance. Photographer Barbara told us:
“The inspiration comes from my personal appreciation for Pre-Raphaelite artists. I love how they were able to create such a moody, decadent atmosphere. Their emphasis on sensual, melancholic beauty driven by an intense nostalgia is so inspiring! There’s something so magical and mysteriously attractive in the look of Pre-Raphaelite muses: their pale skin, the vivid colours of their copper wavy hair, their ethereal dress. It’s a timeless elegance I absolutely wanted to translate into an ‘unconventional’ wedding aesthetic.”
I think it’s safe to say she succeeded! Read on for more…
Creating intimacy in a large space
The dark, industrial backdrop adds a beautiful edge to this decadent wedding shoot. It creates a mysterious drama that the couple fit into so well. These editorial-like photos tell a story. We see the timeline of the couple getting ready individually before meeting. Such passion, such tension!
Despite the dark backdrop and large room, the setting remains intimate and romantic. The luxurious flower arrangements by Caterina Maurini add a softness, with their petals sprawled across the floor. The candles create the intimate mood with their soft light.
A timeless couple for a decadent wedding
This decadent wedding shoot is simple yet luxurious and elegant. This bride is timeless and glowing like a muse! Her ethereal hair and makeup is by Paola Cremonesi. She is a figure of elegance, with a casualness about her, in bridalwear by Atelier Anna Fucà. The groom flaunts the same blasé attitude, effortlessly rocking groomswear by Linnèo. This decadent wedding shoot is simple yet luxurious and elegant.
Artistic Photography- Decadent Mood Setting
This decadent wedding photography style is what gives these photos such moody elegance. Studio Fotografico Bacci has really nailed it, playing with light and colour. It’s so important that your photographer understands your style. Here’s our guide to choosing a wedding photographer.
The Pre-Raphaelite influences are clear here as the models almost look like paintings! The dewy skin and almost melancholic expressions create that timeless feel. All these features can be incorporated into your wedding day or engagement shoot. This shoot proves that your wedding photos don’t need to be bright, pink and fluffy! Following your own inspirations will create a day that is unmistakably YOU!
