Buffy Jones (otherwise known as The Wedding Slayer) is an alternative wedding coordinator from Arnos Vale Cemetery. We know what you’re thinking…a wedding in a cemetery? We’re feeling Tim Burton vibes here! Arnos Vale is a gorgeous location, with acres of woodland and a beautiful chapel. This same sex Corpse Bride wedding shoot, captured by When Charlie Met Hannah perfectly demonstrates moody elegance with a fairy tale feeling and showcases some incredible alternative wedding suppliers.
This shoot demonstrates how to stick to a theme whilst adding personality, keeping a fairy tale feel that’s still moody. Thanks for sending this one in, Buffy!

Nailing The Corpse Bride Wedding Look
This shoot showcases five stunning wedding dresses from Rachel Burgess Bridal Boutique. Some covered in sparkles and some simple and draping, all are show stopping. A gothic edge is added by adding headpieces by The Lucky Sixpence and statement black boots from House Of Elliot.
Sarah Winstone Hair And Make-Up ensured the brides were styled in true Tim Burton fashion, emphasising the eyes! She swept the hair back into elegant updos for a sophisticated wedding look.
Rocking a leather jacket on your wedding day has become an unconventional trend, with Sammy Lea’s Retro Emporium providing major inspiration. The hand painted Corpse Bride wedding jacket adds a lot of personality and edge to the look, emphasising the theme of the shoot.
Romantic Venue Styling
This Corpse Bride wedding shoot was styled by A Touch Of Wonder, and they did a brilliant job at keeping a sense of magic and wonder amongst the moody vibe. The interior is fantastically floral, thanks to Sunflower Blooms. The leafy vines and bold red flowers intertwined with twinkling lights are romantic and bold, setting the wedding scene brilliantly. Red becomes an accent colour in this shoot, weaved into the bridal bouquets, adding pops of royal ruby.
The vintage style furniture, provided by Frankie Loves Ava, matches the timeless feel of the cemetery, giving almost a ‘shabby chic’ effect. The dark and elegant invites (from Photo Press) also set the theme, with the scrawled font and night sky decoration.
