how to recreate this elegant industrial wedding look

TAKE INSPIRATION FROM YOUR VENUE

Use what you have! Get to know your venue and use the styling to enhance it. An industrial wedding venue gives you loads of room to play with styling.

TEAMWORK makes the dream work!

Let your suppliers help you! Awesome wedding vendors will be full of ideas. Choose people that understand your vision so they can help you bring it to life.

how does it feel?

Often our memories are bound to emotions, so start thinking about how you want your day to feel. You can use lighting, music, scents and entertainment to curate an emotive atmosphere.

An epic elopement story

Here’s what Claudia Moritz told us about this elegant industrial wedding shoot:

“The shoot and the story behind it refer to the desire to go beyond limitations (especially those we had during the pandemic), to just get out, to discover life, to love, to be enchanted by artists, and to embrace adventure.”

These photos tell a romantic story about a surprise wedding after a long period of separation over lockdown. The bride is blindfolded and taken to an old factory building where terracotta pots and bricks were made until 30/40 years ago. The industrial venue has been transformed with dried flowers, romantic lighting and circus performers. The couple have a celebrant wedding ceremony and dance into the night. What an epic way to tie the knot!

elegant industrial wedding styling

The awesome thing about this shoot is that the team created a whole VIBE. The colour scheme is based on the venue – creating a palette around grey, rust and terracotta. This is accented with gold, mustard and light pinks. The atmosphere is surreal and industrial yet still elegant and stylish. Dried flowers and candles soften the harshness of the venue and lighting plays a big part in creating the atmosphere.

It can be hard to know where to start when styling an industrial wedding venue. Use your venue as the main inspiration and go from there, contrasting soft and harsh elements to create texture. Add a little continuity through your stationery, cake and table wear.

a badass couple for a badass wedding

Unique wedding venue? Check. Beautiful wedding styling? Check. Alternative wedding entertainment? Check! The next checkbox is awesome wedding wear, and this couple have smashed it!

This bride rocks the leather jacket and dried flowers vibe. Our favourite part is the hairpiece! The groom looks epic in his grey blazer and black bow tie combo.

But the COOLEST part of this elegant industrial wedding has to be the motorbike and sidecar… so badass!
