All Hallows Eve (or Halloween as now popularly known) marks the end of the summer and the harvest. As winter commences the ghosts of the dead return to roam the Earth. The former asylum (or madhouse) of Mombello, Italy is rumoured to be one of the ten scariest and most haunted places in the world. And it provided the perfect dramatic backdrop for this haunting styled shoot, sent to us by the team at DEMAS bridalwear. Dare you enter the Asylums labyrinth of rooms which are steeped in the history of madness?
A haunting love story
The shoot tells the story of Annalisa, a restless and tormented soul, who realises that her love for Marco has now come to an end. In the corridors of Mombello asylum in Italy, Annalisa meets Jasmine, a patient of the “Agitati” (or isolation) ward. Their likeminded souls meet and she immediately falls madly in love.
That same evening, Annalisa, in the midst of madness and imbalance, organizes Marco’s murder; but she is discovered. She is placed in the same ward as Jasmine where their souls will remain forever entwined for eternity. Still to this day you can hear the noises of laughter, running feet and slamming doors from the haunted ward!
