When you think of rustic wedding styling, you may think of a quaint theme, with bunting, burlap and jam jar fairy lights. Well, this modern barn wedding is re-thinking all of that! Organised and captured by Jessica Lily Photography, this shoot combines rustic elements with modern styling to create a bold, autumnal look. With warm colour palettes, neon lights and black candles, Stokes Farm Barn has been transformed into an ‘Autumn Neon’ dream!
This wedding shoot, coordinated on the day by Chloe Jordan Weddings, demonstrates how couples can take a bare space and make it their own. The awesome suppliers also wanted to spread the powerful message that all women should feel comfortable in their own skin!

How to style a modern barn wedding
Find a cosy blank canvas
We love a wooden or brick background. A barn is the ideal venue to go mad with your individual styling!
warm colour palettes
These reds, oranges and autumnal hues add a warmth to the barn, looking great alongside soft whites and creams.
Modern barn Wedding- Brides that rock
These gorgeous brides are rocking Debbie Rees Bridal gowns, with makeup by Viktoria Kohl. We’re loving the statement headpieces from Glorious By Heidi, and the badass leather jacket from Bee Davies Illustration. We’re all about anything quirky and individual, so we loveeeee unique accessories and anything that shows your personality! The floral hoop by Two Little Birds is an awesome, modern alternative to a traditional bouquet!
Rustic Wedding Styling With modern, neon touches
Two Little Birds styled this modern barn wedding shoot, and created the floral displays! They used a unique combination of stems and dried leaves, with both muted tones and bold flowers. We are LOVING the neon sign- perfect for photos! The sparkling black wedding cake by Avantgarde Cake Studio is a real statement piece, reinforcing the modern styling elements and tying the colour schemes together. There are a few black pieces in this shoot, including the plates, candles and table runners. Whilst this shoot has stayed true to some traditional elements, we love how the black items challenge ‘white wedding’ stereotypes whilst adding an edge to the look. The gorgeous floral stationery by Wonderland Invites balances ‘rustic’ with ‘sleek’ to create a clean and modern design.
Last but not least… No wedding is complete without a bar! Near & Far Mobile Bar is the perfect addition to this shoot. When decorating a venue from scratch in a place that doesn’t have its own bar, finding something that matches your style is essential! It will complete the look and add to the atmosphere.
