Ecuador

Wander alongside giant tortoises, make friends with sea lions and even swim with sharks. Only in Ecuador can you experience the Swing at the End of the World.
Antarctica
If you happen to be in southern Argentina, why not accompany a team of research scientists on an adventure of a lifetime? From Ushuaia, the very southernmost tip of Patagonia, you can journey by boat to discover Antarctica for yourselves.
On your expedition, you’ll negotiate the Drake Passage, encounter leopard seals and penguins, camp on the ice and explore towering glaciers. Why not include some extra warm clothes as part of your honeymoon gift list?
Greenland
From one end of the Earth, to the other. You can visit Greenland by plane from Denmark or Iceland, or arrive as part of a cruise. So it’s a spectacular destination to combine with quirky Reykjavik or beautiful Copenhagen.
Hike the fjords, glaciers and valleys, take a boat trip around icebergs, go whale watching and chase the Northern Lights. Here you can see the midnight sun, bathe in hot springs and take a dog sled tour to find polar bears. It’s vast, friendly and completely unique.
Easter Island
If you’d like to add a bit of mystery to your honeymoon, spend some time in one of the most remote inhabited places in the world: Rapa Nui (Easter Island). You can fly to Easter Island from Santiago in Chile or from Tahiti, so it makes an amazing part of a multi-destination trip.
Encounter the Moai and tour the coastal road, discover the island’s ancient history and explore archaeological sites, fishing coves and secluded beaches. Go diving and surfing, stay in an ecofriendly tent lodge overlooking the ocean expanse, and sample delicious Chilean and Polynesian cuisine.
Bhutan
The Kingdom of Bhutan is an ancient and remote Buddhist country deep within the Himalayas between India and Tibet. It’s the only country on Earth to measure its prosperity by Gross National Happiness, not Gross Domestic Product.
A welcoming, sacred and truly distinctive place to spend your honeymoon, Bhutan is packed full of unforgettable scenery and ancient traditions. Make the 900m climb to the Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang Palphug Monastery) for breathtaking views. Spend the night in a former Bhutanese Royal palace, a contemporary boutique hotel, or even a traditional farm house with a local family.
Ghana
While East Africa’s amazing safari reserves deservedly get a lot of attention, with Tanzania and Zanzibar as firm honeymoon favourites, Ghana is quietly serving up its own magic over on the opposite coast.
Beautiful beaches, historic forts and castles, and lower-cost safaris with fewer crowds. The Mole National Park is the biggest elephant sanctuary in West Africa, and don’t miss the Kakum Canopy Walk: seven rope bridges that hang over 130 feet above the tropical jungle floor.
