let the flowers shine

Styling with sunflowers is straightforward as it doesn't take much to make them look amazing! Often, little other decoration is needed.

A Bold & Bright Sunflower Wedding

Sunflowers represent optimism, loyalty and love, and have been held in high regard in cultures throughout time. They are ‘happy flowers’… they just seem to lift spirits! They’re also tall and bold, growing towards the sun. What a perfect symbol for your wedding day!

Don’t be afraid to be bold and unapologetic. Seeing people being their authentic selves lifts the spirits of others, just like sunflowers!

Sunflowers are available to buy from approximately May to October, making them perfect for a summer or early autumn wedding. The golden tones and sunshine-y warmth set the scene perfectly!

And if you don’t fancy going full on bright sunflowers, how about including some different colours? The bridal bouquet below created by Limewood Flowers included a couple of sunflowers in memory of a grandma which were subtly included at the back.

We’re big ‘shop local’ advocates, to reduce carbon footprint and support businesses on your doorstep. Our alternative wedding directory is full of awesome florists and alternative bouquet makers.
