Overview
Are you looking for wedding flowers that are distinctive and make a statement? I love to create bold, unique pieces such as arches and pillars. I particularly love it when a couple wants something unconventional. I will design and create new frames or structures depending on what style you want, and then work from that as the base for your floral arrangement.
Iβm very aware that some people know very little about flowers, and this can certainly feel intimidating. I welcome you to come to my garden to visit and to see what flowers I will be growing at the time of your wedding. Visiting the garden can help you to visualise colours and shapes and inspire you with what you might like in your wedding arrangements.
I run Georginaβs Flowers from my home in Worcestershire. My home has been in my family for generations and is the inspiration for my business. Iβm lucky enough to have a beautiful, classic cottage garden that includes a large picking garden where I grow a lot of the flowers I use for weddings.
I love being able to grow my own flowers, and I try to create sustainable pieces made with seasonal flowers where possible. Iβm happy to try to grow anything if there is time before your wedding, so if you have requests, please let me know!
As a graphic and textile designer by trade I find myself drawing on this experience when designing floral arrangements. Bringing in my other creative influences to my designs mean the pieces I create for you are both unusual and unique. I can also use this experience to help to style your wedding.
Iβm an avid collector of eclectic props and dΓ©cor, such as crockery, troughs, buckets, and vases, which I combine with my arrangements to make pieces that are both unusual and distinctive. You can hire any of these items, and I donβt charge any extra to use them alongside your flowers.
I really enjoy the whole wedding process. I make sure to be available right the way through, from initial consultations and sight visits to full set up beforehand. I will make sure to be available to help on the day with moving any flowers between locations if required.
Iβm happy to work to any wedding size and any budget. If you only want bridal party flowers and buttonholes, then thatβs more than okay. Or I can work backwards from a set budget to maximise what flower arrangements would work best for you.
I have access to a much wider range of flora and fauna than a standard florist. This means I use flowers that you may not usually think of when thinking of classic wedding arrangements. I donβt dismiss anything thatβs growing in my garden, whether itβs something Iβve planted or a weed that has self-seeded.Β One such example is Ladyβs Mantle, a plant that grows prolifically as a βweedβ in my garden but brings an unusual and vibrant lime green colour to arrangements.
I also enjoy experimenting with arrangements, such as mixing dried and fresh flowers. If there are specific flowers or colours that are out of season, then Iβm happy to dry them for you. I love the process of testing to see what works as dried and what doesnβt. Iβm also frequently trying to grow new flowers to keep arrangements looking fresh from year to year.
