The wedding cake was traditionally made to bring good luck to the couple and their guests, symbolising unity as the first task performed by the newlyweds. It’s also an excellent way to express your personalities and can be a stunning centrepiece.

Leicester based, Lisa from Confection Of Affection uses her science background to create the perfect balance of flavours for delicious wedding cakes. She is able to create anything from a rustic feeling semi-naked cake to more elaborate designs incorporating sugar flowers, hand-painted designs and sugar embellishments. Lisa takes inspiration from everything from all the things she loves – fairy tales including Alice in Wonderland, vintage designs and fantasy! Above all, she loves listening to her client’s stories to create unique twists on traditional wedding cakes, reflecting the couples’ individuality.
