This decadent wedding shoot is moody, passionate, opulent and downright gorgeous! This one comes all the way from Italy, sent into us by Studio Fotografico Bacci, and it exudes classic Italian elegance. Photographer Barbara told us:
“The inspiration comes from my personal appreciation for Pre-Raphaelite artists. I love how they were able to create such a moody, decadent atmosphere. Their emphasis on sensual, melancholic beauty driven by an intense nostalgia is so inspiring! There’s something so magical and mysteriously attractive in the look of Pre-Raphaelite muses: their pale skin, the vivid colours of their copper wavy hair, their ethereal dress. It’s a timeless elegance I absolutely wanted to translate into an ‘unconventional’ wedding aesthetic.”
I think it’s safe to say she succeeded! Read on for more…
Creating intimacy in a large space
The dark, industrial backdrop adds a beautiful edge to this decadent wedding shoot. It creates a mysterious drama that the couple fit into so well. These editorial-like photos tell a story. We see the timeline of the couple getting ready individually before meeting. Such passion, such tension!
Despite the dark backdrop and large room, the setting remains intimate and romantic. The luxurious flower arrangements by Caterina Maurini add a softness, with their petals sprawled across the floor. The candles create the intimate mood with their soft light.
