If you are a fan of the 1990’s mystery, horror drama Twin Peaks then you are going to love this styled shoot inspired by the cult TV series! With its eccentric characters, supernatural goings on and bold colour palette – this styled shoot is set to delight all Twin Peaks fans as well as those looking for a more unconventional look. Look no further for your Twin Peaks Wedding inspiration!
Where do you start planning a twin peaks inspired wedding?
So where do you actually start when you are using an iconic TV series as your styled shoot inspiration. As Julia, from Magpie Creative, explains it’s about pulling out the key features of your favourite series not replicating it as a whole.
Top tips to acheive a twin peaks Wedding look
PROPS - RED DRAPED BACKDROPS & CHEVRONS
Take bits from the iconic scenes. Create pieces which can be lifesize or smaller
photobooths & HAShTAGS
The team adopted #ourtwinpeakswedding on Instagram because everyone loves a #'tag when posting their photobooth pics!
QUOTES
Drop in subtle quotes from the series on your wedding stationery or welcome board
Using props to get the twin peaks wedding look
In this styled shoot, we love how the team Audrey Horn (aka Sadie Hill) rocks the Twin Peaks look in front of the luxurious red backdrop. You can’t have Twin Peaks without the chevron floor either!
Creating a red draped ceremony backdrop or chevron floor might feel like a tall order but you can use it as inspiration for your wedding breakfast tables instead – think red table runners and chevron napkins or placemats for example.
Using photobooths and creating your own hashtags
How about setting yourself up a Photobooth with Twin Peaks wedding styled props? Pull out your favourite quotes, a few themed props, your own hashtag (here it was #atwinpeakswedding) and away you go!
Using quotes in your wedding stationery
I’ve got to admit that I think the use of quotes from the TV series and the colour palette used in the wedding stationery was a total triumph for this styled shoot!
