Urban Emo
wedding
When wedding suppliers get together and do what makes their heart sing you get a glimpse at who they really are and what makes them tick. This urban skate park wedding inspo was a passion project for the two Chloe’s (The Copper Cacti & Chloe Lee Photography) – giving them a chance to have fun and get back to their Emo roots.

Skate Park
The main focal point for this Emo shoot was the skate park in central Chelmsford.
Chloe from The Copper Cacti explains:
“The skatepark was the main inspiration for us. The graffiti and the urban nature of the area gave the perfect backdrop for the look we wanted, keeping it industrial and in keeping with our little emo hearts! It also rained a little so being a darker day gave off a moodier vibe which totally worked.”
Urban Surroundings
Being in the heart of the city the team were able to explore the surrounding areas and use them to their advantage.
Chloe gave this tip:
“Use the surrounding area – Anything can work as a backdrop to give off this vibe, a brick wall, an old metal garage door, there are so many opportunities for industrial style backdrops not even just in the city.”
Emo Wedding style
Chloe explained the vision behind the wedding day looks:
“We wanted to throw it back to the days we grew up in. MySpace, listening to My Chemical Romance, chucking on our Vans or Chucks and heading to the skatepark, but make it a city wedding elopement.”
Lauren’s look was kept effortless – letting her personality shine through. A fitted slip dress with sequin topper by Lucy Can’t Dance gave the wedding vibe while the high front slit in the gown gave glimpses of the white Dr Martens keeping the look relaxed. Vicky Jiggins created a soft makeup look with a pop of red lipstick for drama. Lauren’s hair was kept loose with some texture and the front section being taken back in a twist.
Tom’s look was kept super informal with dark jeans, a layered t-shirt and shirt combo and dark jacket from Vans.

Alternative Florals
The Copper Cacti created a striking wedding bouquet filled with drama and texture. Deep greens, burgundy and reds with succulents scattered through ensured that this was most definitely not a traditional bouquet. A coordinating buttonhole was pinned to Tom’s jacket.
