City Christmas Wedding – Festive Bridal Looks In London

It’s that time of year again! Christmas is just around the corner so we’re here with your yearly dose of alternative festive wedding inspiration! Creating a winter bridal look differs greatly from dressing for a summers day. Adding the ‘Season To Be Jolly’ into the mix means it’s more important to make sure you stand out amongst allllll of the sparkle, snow and tinsel! This city Christmas wedding shoot was sent into us by Felicity Westmacott and photographed by Adam Rowley. It’s full of wintery bridal inspiration that will knock your Christmas socks off!

Sparkly City Christmas Wedding in London

This city Christmas wedding shoot features classic London landmarks. Regent Street, Covent Garden and Fortnums & Mason were lit up in their sparkling festive finery. What elegant and joyful backdrops for this winter bride!

Sophisticated bridal makeup by Anusha Solanki made model Elodie Foray into the perfect Christmas bride. Claire Cain of Birds and Sirens Millinery added accessories and jewellery made in leather, crystal and french veiling. The team added unique festive details with sparkly shoes by Marsha Hall and a wreath style bouquet by Darvall Design

Adam Rowley Photography has captured these shots perfectly, working expertly with low light to capture the magic!

City Christmas Wedding Looks For Winter Brides

This shoot features two unique wedding dresses by Felicity Westmacott. Here’s what she told us about her city Christmas wedding looks:

“Ethereal ‘Cassiopeia’ is a cloud of tulle in ivory and palest blue with subtle sequins. I made a tulle overskirt with an invisible ‘whisper’ waistline so a dip-dye look can be added without actually colouring your dress! It was inspired by the icy winter skies and the depth of colour you see as the light fades away. If you are wanting to get your wedding dress dip-dyed, go for a dress with a tulle or lace skirt – these are the best for applying the colour.

‘Elodie,’ our second look, is a coloured wedding dress in red silk with a glittering sequin bodice. The design is modern-vintage, relaxed and yet glamorous. I wanted the colour to be something that would show up against the snow or frost and also look amazing in Christmas decorated venues. This look is all about the glitz. If red isn’t your best colour, choose a jewel-bright colour to best flatter your skin tone. Any backless dress can have a back necklace added. You can buy them to wear ‘normally’ from your neck or have one sewn on.

Merry Christmas, Unconventional Lovelies!

Have these photos left you wanting a festive wedding? They sure have us! A big huge Merry Christmas from Team UW! See you in 2022!
