Sofz & Purdie’s Magical Lapland Wedding

Here’s what Sofz told us about her Lapland wedding:

“We got married at The Snow Village in Lapland. When Purdie proposed, he suggested it as an idea. We had been to Lapland 10 years before to learn to snowboard and had visited The Snow Village. We both wanted to be able to spend time with our close friends and family so we made our wedding into a week-long holiday with our loved ones in a location that meant a lot to us. The whole thing was brilliantly planned by Rue at Sun & Snow Weddings.

The night before the wedding, we had a celebration with our family and friends in the Saaga Spa Hotel. We played games and then saw The Northern Lights together.

The next day, Purdie and best man John drove snowmobiles to The Snow Village. I arrived with my dad in a reindeer sleigh. We celebrated with sparklers and drinks in the ice bar after the wedding ceremony.

Then, we warmed up with a meal in the log restaurant before everyone went back to the hotel. We stayed in a wooden heated teepee with a hot tub after the wedding. The next day we rode the snowmobile back to the hotel.”
