Colourful Micro Wedding At Patrick’s Barn, Sussex

We have some gorgeous inspiration for you today! This colourful micro wedding shoot was organised by Blossoming Events and captured by Lightbox Studios at Patrick’s Barn. This wedding is all about colour and fun. Barefoot on the grass, this free-spirited couple is embracing the festival vibes and fresh air. The team took influences from the beautiful surroundings and also wanted to incorporate some Woodstock vibes. We love how they kept it local, natural, and eco-friendly! Styling A Colourful Mico Wedding

We love how this shoot blends bohemian spirit with a touch of elegance and luxury. Angela from Blossoming Events is an ‘on the day’ co-ordinator and organised this colourful micro wedding, bringing the suppliers together and creating the design concept. Angela dressed the evening table, supplied the plants for the table plan and worked closely with the team to bring this vision alive! Scott, who is part of the Blossoming Team, worked with Radiance Production to design the lighting.

Rebecca Cragg Floral Design made two vibrant and playful displays that were used on the evening table and in the ceremony. Bright and colourful, these flowers really popped and provided an elegant finish. The bouquet is made of leather leaf fern and eucalyptus for a more relaxed style finished with coloured ribbon. Rebecca also made the grooms buttonhole and greenery arrangement on the wicker chair. We loveee us some funky wedding flowers!

Check out the awesome video by Neil Collins Films – he perfectly captured the style and sentiment of this colourful micro wedding.

Bell Tents & Bare Feet at Patrick's Barn

Patricks Barn is a stunning alternative wedding venue in Sussex with plenty of outdoor space and incredible scenery. The onsite catering The Garden Chef supplied the luxurious afternoon picnic including their own ‘Missing Link’ local ale, produced in the on-site brewery. The Garden Chef prides itself on homemade and locally sourced produce.

A picnic is the perfect dining option for this colourful micro wedding! Beautiful Bells supplied the bell tent and decor, which really brought the festival vibes. They also supplied the wicker chair which was stunning in the woodland setting. Hire Your Day supplied the boxes, crates and ladders for the table plan. The Beautiful Day supplied the macrame stand, amplifying the boho flare.

Dressing For A Colourful Micro Wedding

Rosie from Rosemary Jane Bride created a stunning gown for this colourful micro wedding. ‘Lydia’ was designed for all those outdoorsy brides who love skipping around with bare feet and enjoying themselves without the hindrance of a big voluminous dress. She looks elegant and timeless with the simple slim silhouette, low front, and keyhole back. The laser-cut lace cape finished with 3D satin butterflies adds a little playfulness to this unique ensemble.

Janey Hair and Makeup created a textured updo to showcase Envy’s natural curls. For the makeup, she went with natural eyes and a dramatic pink lip to match the roses. Beautiful!

The gorgeous & yummy details

Jen from Crafted Cakes and Bakes made this delicious two-tier cake with a silky swiss meringue textured buttercream. It incorporated a vibrant dried flower spray using some bright coloured stems which brought a contemporary flair to a classic ivory finish. The flavours were a rich red velvet and Mayan Vanilla. Yum!

Some awesome wedding stationery really is the cherry on top of a beautiful wedding day. Little Green Paper Shop supplied these beautifully eco-friendly menus, and the fonts and signs are by The Sign Bureau. How friggin’ cool is this seating plan?

A Colourful Micro Wedding Ceremony

You can’t have a wedding without a ceremony! This colourful micro wedding shoot included a mock celebrant ceremony lead by Tanya of Perfect Promises. Tanya also created the vow books which fit perfectly into the theme and make the shoot so personal.

I think it’s safe to say we LOVE this shoot. Are you currently planning your wedding? Come and chat about it in our Facebook Chat Room! Happy Planning!
