Proposal season is upon us, and magic is in the air! This festive engagement wedding inspiration, from Victoria Taylor Makeup, features a beautiful, curious fairy, sprinkling her Christmas magic. This whimsical styled shoot, shot by Laura Beresford, will give you all those Christmassy feels, and some winter wedding inspiration.
A Christmas Eve Proposal Story...
What we love about this shoot is that it has fairy-tale backstory, which we would love to share with you…
“It’s Christmas eve, the most magical night of all, and a gentleman in his country home is planning a romantic proposal to his lifelong love. The amber glow of the open fire sets the festive mood as a curious visitor pokes her head around the door, drawn by the magic in the air. This shimmering fairy has popped in to see whats going on, and to sprinkle some Christmas sparkle. She embodies elegance and charm, with a cheeky side, as she explores the cosy room.”
Styling A magical christmas eve proposal
The amount of detail in this engagement shoot is stunning and has been styled beautifully. The 400 year old wood panelled room with the open fire is the perfect cosy setting. The room has a warm glow with the golden Christmas trimmings, and the splashes of red on the tree. Winter rugs, candles and snow globes are all lovely additions to the room’s quaint intimacy, ideal for a Christmas wedding proposal.
'Fairytale Glow' Christmas wedding Hair & Makeup
Victoria really captured that glowing ‘fairy tale porcelain skin’ on gorgeous model Lucy, keeping the makeup natural yet ethereal looking, with festive ruby lips. Illuminating body art added some fairy sparkle, achieved by using stencilling. Hairstylist Marina Cox wove Lucy’s hair into an intricate plait laced with glitter and crowned with a gorgeous headpiece. This hairstyle reflects many 2019 hair trends- you saw it here first!
fairy wings & A Christmas Eve wedding Dress
The dress was hand dyed by Marina and the fabric shimmers as it catches the light- even more fairy magic! Lucy’s wings were hand crafted by Victoria, with intricate beading detail adding a bit of golden glamour.
A look to 'Say yes' to!
All of the stylists absolutely nailed the look, and it will surely inspire many brides to be looking for that magic touch in their winter weddings, as well as those with Christmas or New Years Eve proposal plans. We adore this fairytale styled shoot- Well done to everybody involved! And Merry Christmas to you all!
