A Galactic
star wars wedding
When Chelsey and Stefan started to plan their wedding they knew they wanted to draw on their passions – Star Wars and alternative Disney films. With a black dress and blue suit the theme emerged – a ‘Galactic Wedding’ with Star Wars and A Nightmare Before Christmas influences. What date to pick? May the 4th … perfect!

Chelsey's vibe
Chelsey always knew she wanted to wear a black wedding dress and so she sought out the fabulous Couture Company to create her perfect dress. A deep purple corset top with black lace and beading overlay complemented the purple tones in her hair, and a full black skirt with black tule overlay gave a romantic finish. Chelsey’s mum was on hand to create beautiful curled hair and a vibrant make up look with pops of pink and purple.
Stefan's look
Stefan wore a fabulous navy tweed 3 piece suit from Marc Darcy with coordinating purple tie and pocket square. Brown shoes finished the look.
Floral finishing touches
a Bouquet of Dreams not Nightmares
Chelsey carried a stunning textural bouquet of blues and pops of crimson with in a lightsaber hilt provided by Foxglove and Black. Silver skulls featured in the bouquet as a nod to the ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ theme.
Button holes
Stefan and the wedding party had button holes with coordinating florals and lego star wars characters – also provided by Foxglove and Black. Stefan wore Boba Fett.
Setting the scene
Wootton Park was the beautiful setting for the day. A romantic outdoor ceremony by the lake was accompanied by music by Signature String Quartet who played classic film scores including the Star Wars theme tune and Cantina music.
Chelsey and the wedding party were escorted to the aisle by Storm Troopers who were on hand for the whole day providing guest entertainment and fun photo opportunities.
The Wedding Breakfast was held in the beautiful barn where the tables were styled by Foxglove and Black with Star Wars Helmets, purple velvet runners, coordinating flowers and homemade wooden coaster place settings. A galactic themed table chart (also by Foxglove and Black) directed the guests to their Nightmare Before Christmas named tables.

out of this world cake
The wedding cake by Little Cherry Cake Company was a showstopper. Specialising in ‘fun, geeky and alternative wedding cakes’ they were the perfect choice for creating a cake which combined Star Wars and A Nightmare Before Christmas. The 3 tiered cake featured Jack and Sally sat in front of the Death Star with swirls of galactic blues, purples and pinks to give an incredible outer space look.
bring the FUN
Guests were treated to a glitter bar by Sensual Passions who was on hand to add a touch of sparkle to everyone’s evening look as they danced the night away. Guests were also invited to help themselves at a sweet bar.
We asked Chelsey what she loved most about her wedding and she said:
“I don’t think we can choose 1 part as it was all amazing, but a lot of things were down to Becky (Foxglove and Black) in bringing so much of what we wanted to life and making things so amazing for us.”
I think you will agree it really is an out of this world wedding. Congratulations to them both.
