Here’s what Ryan from Pretty Flamingo Weddings told us about this intimate Scottish wedding:
“Jess & Eilish chose an incredibly romantic way of marrying, away from the world in the most idyllic of settings. Just the couple and three very close friends were at The Hermitage to witness this exchange of vows and love. The autumnal sun beamed through the leaves into the forest and the leaves and clouds cast their shadows onto the paths and rocks the lovebirds walked (and climbed) upon. It was light leak heaven for me as a wedding photographer.”
The wedding ceremony was conducted by The Scottish Celebrant and included a handfasting. The ceremony area was decorated with white candles and small vases filled with pampas grass. What a dreamy backdrop of trees and river!
This wonderful couple incorporated subtle rainbow details into their big day, including rainbow converse, a custom denim jacket and wristbands for the wedding party. What a beautiful way to incorporate a bit of Pride into the day!
Jess and Eilish took it back to basics with their simple and romantic wedding. Photographer Ryan continues:
“If there is a perfect day, then this was probably it. No fuss, just love. No guests or family to stress you out, no parading for the sake of others or trying to stick to meaningless traditions. A wedding day is whatever you want it to be of course, but there really were so many magical, whimsical, and special things about this intimate Scottish wedding. Just two people being in love with just the squirrels and birds looking on. What’s not to love?”
