Charlotte Laurie Designs – Alternative Wedding Bouquets

Hello there! Charlotte Laurie designs is my little bridal bouquet and accessories business making alternative items primarily from hand stitched felt and lots of lovely buttons. It’s just me designing and making everything with the help of my glamourous assistants Fletcher, my three year old, and Biggles our dog (insider secret -they are not always that helpful). I’m based in Kent but have supplied all over the world from Australia to Canada and to just down the road. Charlotte Laurie Designs started after I made what some might say was a slightly crazy decision to hand make all of the bouquets, decorations, and flowers for my wedding in 2012. I wanted to really incorporate a quirky personal touch with my love for craft and make something that would stand out. I also wanted it to double as unique keepsakes. As much as I love flowers I’ve always hated that they’re only temporary! People loved what I’d done and I started getting requests from friends for their occasions. This gave me the confidence to branch out and make a go of turning a passion into something more. My alternative bridal bouquets and accessories are all complete one off’s every item is unique. They are all 100% designed, handmade and hand-stitched by myself so you won’t find anything else like it anywhere. I’m really passionate about working with people to make pieces which incorporate both my sensibilities and their tastes. I’m also really keen to incorporate the customers requests into my work – hand-stitching heirlooms, and anything else into their commissions, I even make my own buttons.
