hellooooo there. I’m evie! As an actor, writer, and self-confessed classics nerd, I believe everyone deserves to be the hero of their own story. Which is why as a celebrant I’m passionate about delivering bespoke ceremonies that capture both the playful and profound stories of the people they celebrate. People just like you!
But what’s my secret? Firstly, every bespoke ceremony I write starts with a completely blank page, because the ancients didn’t have copy & paste – they had divine inspiration* (*okay, so I don’t have a direct line to the MUSES…yet!!).
This means when it comes to the stories, words and ideas for your unique celebration – the world is our oyster (or our odyssey!). And together, we get to craft something totally celebratory, personal, and just right for you.
On the big day itself, the actor in me comes to the fore as I get to stand in front of all your loved ones – with a big smile and a warm heart – and share your beautiful story. What a treat.
But why do I think Classics and celebrancy go together in the first place? Firstly, they are some of the world’s oldest storytellers, and the foundation of many of our best myths and legends.
Secondly, the ancient Greeks (my personal faves) had a knack for balancing both the funny and the big feels, which is something I think all the best ceremonies do – and something I put at the heart of my practice.
That’s why I’m here for the couples who want to balance the humorous and the heartfelt, the funny and the big-feels, the goofy and the grand; something the ancient poets and playwrights had pretty much perfected.
