A Magical Pink and Emerald
Wicked Inspired Wedding
Welcome to a magical Wicked wedding like no other. This styled shoot is full of magic, mischief and love. It’s bold, inclusive and bursting with creativity.
Planned by Ella Bella Weddings and Events with Quirky Weddings , it took place at the beautiful Marygreen Manor Hotel. The timing couldn’t be better – the next Wicked film lands on Friday 21st November, and this shoot brings that same mix of rebellion and romance to life.
Kate (she/her) and Luis (they/them) are a real couple, and their connection shines through in every photo. Together they brought warmth, laughter and authenticity, proving that a Wicked wedding can be magical and meaningful without losing its edge.
This is wedding inspiration for couples who do things their own way. It’s all about love, individuality and a touch of sparkle.

The Vision behind this Wicked Themed Wedding
The idea came from Anna Vine of Vintage Glamour with Anna. She wanted a shoot inspired by Wicked – full of fantasy, drama and feeling. Jodie from Ella Bella Weddings and Events loved the idea immediately.
“Anna came to me wanting to do a Wicked themed shoot. I said, ‘say no more’ – and this is what we created.” Jodie tells us.
The concept celebrates couples who love story, mood and meaning. The styling played with contrast: dark and light, sparkle and shadow, tradition and rebellion.
It also nods to Wicked’s story. Elphaba, misunderstood and an outcast, stands up for what’s right. This mirrors the spirit of the shoot, where every supplier supports inclusivity and creativity – proving weddings are for everyone.
Jodie’s tip: embrace symbolism and ritual.
“Add meaning with things like handfasting, vow booklets or charms,” she says. “Pick colours and textures that mean something to you – green for growth, crystals for energy, braids for unity.”
A Magical Ceremony with Wicked Vows
Michelle, Funky Celebrant, created a ceremony that was playful, emotional, and completely unique. It honoured Wicked while staying true to Kate and Luis.
The Our Wicked Vows booklets were a fun addition to the ceremony. Michelle’s words within were witty, magical, and full of character.
“You’ve followed the yellow brick road of love and still chosen each other…. Because when you’ve found someone who truly sees you, wings, wand, weirdness and all, you hold on tight”
Handfasting cords in red and emerald green braided together symbolised unity and growth. Charms were woven through for protection and meaning. When Kate and Luis’ hands were bound, it felt deeply intentional – a truly magical moment.
Michelle ended with: “By no great and powerful wizard, but by the wild wonder of love and your own spellbinding truth… you are unlimited.”

Emerald Crowns & Magical Outfits
Kate (she/her) wore a white gown with pink dip dye from Lucy Can’t Dance, inspired by Glinda’s sparkling, celestial style. Her hair, styled by Vintage Glamour with Anna, was soft and romantic. A glittering crown by The Lucky Sixpence perfectly captured Glinda’s magical vibe. Kate carried an etherial bouquet of pink and white florals and butterflies by The Copper Cacti.
Luis (they/them) wore a checked green suit with a soft pink tie – a subtle nod to Wicked’s colours without feeling like a costume. Their emerald crown (also by The Lucky Sixpence ) added mythical royalty and tied the couple’s looks together. While the incredible succulent lapel by The Copper Cacti added drama.
Zoe Fidgeon Makeup Artist kept the makeup soft but glam, with glowing skin and a hint of sparkle. Together, they looked confident, connected, and full of personality.
Jodie’s tip: make crowns your signature accessory.
“Skip traditional headpieces,” she says. “Go for crowns or tiaras with gemstones or natural elements. They add instant magic – and anyone can wear one.”
The outfits perfectly blend fantasy and reality, capturing the magical essence of a Wicked themed wedding.

Magical styling
Ella Bella Weddings and Events styled the day with dark wood, candles, and layered textures. The moody Wicked themed wedding vibe comes through perfectly. CMA Hire provided the items for Jodie to work her magic.
Jodie’s styling tip: mix moody and whimsical aesthetics.
“Balance dark, atmospheric tones with shimmer or soft pastels,” she says. “That contrast gives the Wicked wedding its spellbinding charm.”
Fairytale Florals
Florals by The Copper Cacti were wild and enchanting. Succulents, moss and butterflies sat alongside soft pastel blooms. The arrangements felt like a blend of fairytale and forest – completely unique and otherworldly.
Cake
Little T Bakes designed a sleek, minimalist three-layer cake that perfectly echoed the pink and emerald palette. The layers were shades of soft green and pink with gold accents, surrounded by white roses with two dramatic black blooms tucked in.
Spellbinding Stationery
The stationery by The Bespoke Stationer was stunning and sophisticated. Invitations, menus, place settings, and the seating plan all featured geometric Emerald City-inspired designs in emerald green, white, and gold. The crisp lines and rich palette gave the day a modern, classy edge while staying true to the Wicked wedding theme.
The Photography: Capturing the Magic
Day & Knight Photography brought the whole story to life through cinematic, rich imagery. The photos feel dramatic yet warm, with light and shadow creating atmosphere.
Kate and Luis were natural in front of the camera. Their laughter, chemistry, and authenticity made each photo feel magical.
This Wicked wedding shoot celebrates individuality, connection and a bit of magic. It shows how weddings can be meaningful, creative and totally your own.
