It’s that time of year where we look back at what’s happened in 2020 and our top alternative wedding blogs! There are always a few surprises in there! And a few you kinda knew would be up there!
It always takes us a little time to choose the one photo which sums up every blog, but this time there was one which stood out. Back in September, we featured a beautiful NHS wedding shoot featuring two paramedics whose wedding had been postponed. It was pulled together by an amazing group of wedding suppliers. It really sums up for me what we can acheive when we pull together in the face of adversity. So thankyou NHS, thankyou to the wedding industry and sod off Covid. I’d encourage you to pop on over and have a read if you haven’t already.
So what else made the top ten (well its actually 12 as I couldn’t decide on just 10!). Bridalwear has been up there throughout 2020 so it’s no surprise that our top bridalwear blog is on the list. Along with more alternative wedding dress inspiration with our guide to black wedding dresses.
We LOVE rainbow weddings here at Unconventional Wedding HQ so welcome Rainbow Babes (with your EPIC pizza reception) and one from lustworthy wedding venue Asylum Chapel to the top ten. You LOVED peacocks this year, so the quirky peacock wedding also made the shortlist. Celestial weddings were also a FAVE (or did you just love Coco the Pug?) along with the bad ass shoot from Sydenham Barn.
You also LOVE themed weddings so of course Game of Thrones makes the shortlist. You also went CRAZY for the Pumpkin themed wedding we featured back in October. Last to mention, there are some great advice blogs including our top wedding cake designers and ten ways to have an alternative wedding.
