“This wedding was all about pure romance! We wanted to include lots of nature and symbolism. What better setting than the incredible Ettington Park Hotel near Stratford Upon Avon? Our initial inspiration was drawn from Pre-Raphaelite artists, particularly Lord Leighton and Burne-Jones.”
‘Pre-Raphaelite’ refers to a 19th-century art movement that was inspired by medieval art, renaissance painters, and literature. The art is known for its rich symbolism, vivid colour, and detailed landscapes. What beautiful inspiration for a wedding!
Model Dannie is wearing a gorgeous burnt orange wedding dress and matching headpiece by Uptight Clothing. Finnella Beauty created the makeup look, with a pale matt foundation, a deep red lip and defined eyes. Dionne’s Hair & Beauty kept her hair natural and full with cascading loose curls. To add a little alternative twist, Dannie is wearing Irregular Choice shoes, which ties the look together with her tattoos and piercings. The bouquet by Floral Jazz is full of dried stems and jewel tones, including lots of rich green.

Louise Goode Celebrant created a bespoke unity ceremony for this Pre-Raphaelite wedding, including an offering of an apple and a handfasting with a cord from Tying The Knott Macrame. The handcrafted wedding rings by Artful Expression were the perfect addition. The ceremony was soundtracked by Ralph Allin on violin.
This Pre-Raphaelite wedding cake was created by Amy Bakers Cakes, which tied the theme together brilliantly with gold leaf, natural elements, and geometrical shapes to add a sense of historical architecture.
The Jesters Nib created the stationery for this shoot, brilliantly capturing the beauty of Pre-Raphaelite art and translating it into beautiful place names and signage.
