The nature of Alice in Wonderland means that you can be as wacky as you want to be and no one would bat an eyelid. If you want more, go for it.
Bright, deep colours
Bring the theme to life with rich tones. If you go too dark or too pastel, it can lose it’s ‘pazazz’.
The Perfect Venue
A beautiful venue does half of the work for you. Venues like Longton Wood are very affordable and add the ‘wow’ factor to your day.
something blue
wedding wear
First things first, let’s talk about this alternative wedding wear!
Amie looked incredible in this Millia London blue wedding dress, a bespoke headpiece by Miss Ava’s Millinery featuring floating playing cards and a teacup. The look is topped off with stunning hand-painted shoes by Miss Mollys.
Kaii is also killing it in this baby blue suit, with a burnt orange shirt, floral tie and white tophat. What a look!
The hair and makeup, created by Charlotte Jefferson, were incredibly fitting with the editorial style of this shoot. She brought out the blue of the wedding wear perfectly in the striking eye makeup!
alice in wonderland themed
wedding table
The tea party table, created by Pretty Little Tea Co with styling elements by Lily Jones Events, was a spread fit for a Queen (of hearts)! The vintage teacups, plates, cake stands and teapots matched perfectly with the theme and the stunning mini cakes, scones and cupcakes they made as well. The handmade ‘drink me’ favours sat beautifully alongside the hand-calligraphed place names and other items by Whilst Jude Sleeps.
colourful
wedding flowers
The flowers by Eliza Rose Artisan Florist were full of rich jewel tones – reds, pinks, blues and purples – and most were grown by Jo herself at her flower farm. Jo created a stunning hand-tied bouquet reminiscent of the ‘wild’ style of the venue and the shoot as a whole. She also created some beautiful bud vase arrangements for the tea party table.

alice in wonderland themed
wedding cake
This alternative wedding cake by Ericakes was a four-tier stunning showstopper – every time you look at it, you see something new! It was fittingly whacky, featuring a mad hatter hat, pocket watches, roses and all the Alice In Wonderland iconic items in a lovely, edible collage.
balloons &
bell tents
Lily Jones Events created an organic balloon garland to adorn the sailcloth marquee by Penny Events Co, which fitted perfectly in among the trees of Longton Wood. The balloon arch captured the colours of the shoot and featured lots of hanging wisteria and giant playing cards. Penny Events Co also set up their beautiful bell tent honeymoon suite which takes glamping to a whole new level of comfort!
