Covid, babe… don’t you think you’ve overstayed your welcome a bit now? I’m sure we’re all feeling the frustration at the moment, especially those trying to get hitched! We are here to spread a little hope and joy with this fabulous, alternative micro wedding! This awesome couple had a gorgeous big day, despite restrictions. They filled their wedding with quirky, unique touches that we just adore.
Note: Please check your local restrictions & guidelines before planning your wedding!

Alternative Micro-Wedding - Cemetery Styling
This alternative micro wedding took place at Arnos Vale Cemetery, The perfect venue for a unique couple with a love of beautiful cemeteries! The team made sure everything was running smoothly and safely to ensure a covid secure celebration.
Louisa and Rob did the styling themselves. A lot of their decor came from their own home! By not sticking to a rigid theme, they had the freedom to make it their own. Louisa told us:
“We wanted to go for something a bit quirky but not brand it as something, so we chose a few skulls when picking the decorations but with some colour. We choose not to go with a colour theme and just some odd bits that took our fancy. We’ve always both been alternative so knew it wouldn’t be a normal wedding as such.”

A Micro Wedding Photoshoot
We’re big believers that your wedding suppliers can play a huge part in creating the vibe of your day. With a few key suppliers that you really resonate with, you can create something extraordinary!
Louisa and Rob’s alternative micro wedding was captured by Ruby Walker Photography. With an early afternoon ceremony, they had plenty of time to explore the grounds, taking loads of romantic, silly, fun photographs!
Louisa’s GORGEOUS bespoke wedding dress was created by Bexbrides. Just look at those sleeves and tassels! She rocks a grey, spray-painted version of Bex’s ‘Rowan’ dress, and doesn’t she look amazing?!

A Covid Safe Celebration
After the ceremony, The new Mr & Mrs Fox got off to their reception venue; a cafe in Bristol perfectly named ‘The Fox’! They travelled in style thanks to Abacus Wedding Cars. They even managed to squeeze in a first dance, as their socially distanced guests watched fondly. This alternative micro wedding shows how you can still have an awesome time, even with restrictions. Louisa said:
“It wasn’t the day we originally planned but I couldn’t imagine anything else now, there is nothing that could’ve made it better”
