This gorgeous, editorial style photoshoot was born out of the concept of ‘Bridal Wilderness’ and is an expansion on the idea of an unconventional bride- bold and fearless. Captured by Timothy James Photography, it aims to explore themes of elegance, femininity and power, telling a story of the rebellious bride left to express herself and assert her presence. The ideas are enhanced by the rocky landscape of Beacon Hill Country Park in Loughborough. The setting itself is reflective of the bride- beautiful, untameable and powerful. We’re in love with this casual wedding look and think you will be too!

how to create your own casual wedding look
Choose a powerful backdrop
This rocky setting at Beacon Hill Country Park is perfect for a bold and casual wedding shoot. Find somewhere that makes you feel unstoppable and free!
ADD YOUR PERSONALITY
Whether it’s adding a leather jacket, trainers or a headdress, accessorise with things that represent you! Adding your own quirks will make your look unique, and make you feel like your best self.
Casual Wedding Styling
The beauty of this casual wedding shoot is in its simplicity. The styling has been kept relaxed and true to the bohemian spirit. There’s no glitzy ballgown or fancy tiara, putting the focus more on ‘getting lost together’ as a couple and going on a journey to share vows without the grandeur of a lavish ceremony or a host of guests.
The shoot showcases the ‘Gabrielle’ dress by IndieBride London; a loose-fitting silk dress with long bell sleeves and lace trims, modelled by the stunning Chandni Supawala. Dressed down with a brown coat and leather boots, the bride looks stylish yet comfortable- you can’t climb rocks in stilettos! The wedding makeup, by Strong Brides is natural and radiant with a warm splash of colour on the lips to match the bouquet.
A bouquet For A Boho Bride
We adore this dried wedding bouquet by Pollen Floral Joy, embellished with feathers and wildflowers. The muted colours match the rocky backdrop perfectly, with an understated beauty. The bouquet is held together by a raspberry, hand dyed, silk ribbon from Little Acorn Silks, left long to catch the wind and add a splash of colour.
This ‘Bridal Wilderness’ shoot encapsulates the idea of a free-spirited, casual wedding perfectly. Thanks, Timothy James Photography, for sending these fab photos in!
