creative
circus wedding

We have another GORGEOUS real wedding for you today! Anna and Reinhard tied the knot at L’Avellana in Tarragona, Spain, with their wonderful circus wedding theme! This lovely couple incorporated their love of both swing dance and the circus into their big day, and they sure know how to celebrate!

Anna & Reinard are both architects that live in Zurich with their son Teo. Friends and family came from far and wide to celebrate with them in Tarragona. They wanted their circus wedding to feel like a combination of a ‘berlin swing club’ and a ‘zurich garden party’.

Massimo, Katinka and Marta at L’Avellana helped bring this circus wedding to life with their creativity and coordination, as well as their stunning wedding venue. The aim of the wedding styling and planning was to make all the guests think “This is SO Anna & Reinhard!”

unique
wedding ceremony

Anna and Reinhard had a beautiful ceremony before their circus wedding reception. The bright and airy room was decorated with fairy lights, leafy foliage and jute rugs. This styling was a brilliant way to emphasise the simple elegance of the venue. A pop of blue was added to their ceremony backdrop to tie it in with the reception colour scheme.

This couple were super creative with their wedding entrances! Both Anna and Reinhard danced down the aisle, entering in style! We love how they incorporated fun and silliness into all aspects of their day.

The circus wedding reception was kept a secret from guests, so you can imagine the surprise and wonder on everybody’s faces when it was revealed!

The couple chose a colour scheme of earthy beige and electric blue, with pops of yellow and gold. These colours looked great alongside the red circus tent. They decorated with vinyl records, plants, creative lighting and painted wine bottles. 5 The Fucking Flower Shop created the bohemian style flower arrangements.

The details really make this wedding, from the custom ‘circus infinity’ sign to the seating plan hanging from a tree.

wedding theme

The best thing about this circus theme is that you can be as subtle or bold as you like with it. It’s about the playful, lighthearted spirit of the circus – you can make the aesthetic completely your own. Anna and Reinhard, with the help of Team L’Avellana, created their dream wedding by following their gut. You can feel their joy through the photos!
