How to recreate this elegant winter wedding look
neutral colours
To get that natural Narnia look, stick with greens, whites and earthy tones. But, don’t forget the sparkle to really finish it off!
go vintage
The look would just not be the same with more modern styling, you need the vintage vibe to get the overall look.
Pray for real snow!
Although the fake stuff that was used was as eco friendly as possible, It’s still difficult to clear up, especially if you want to reuse it.
an elegant winter wedding at christmas
Here’s what Samantha from Willow and Rust told us about this festive wedding inspiration:
“For this elegant winter wedding, I had an image of a Narnia type backdrop with the bride and groom dressed almost like a fairytale with sparkling lights, snow and hot chocolate. For added festiveness, there was also an abundance of fairy lights, homemade brownies, and all the festive trimmings.
The wedding flowers from Inspired Floristry were not only beautiful but sourced and arranged with the environment in mind. They had just enough of a festive touch without feeling overly Christmassy. The real trees have now been rehomed and are fulfilling their Christmas destiny (Friends reference!).
The furniture and props used were all vintage pieces from my collection that created the perfect ‘bringing the inside out’ contrast I was looking for.
We also had the perfect cake from Sally Marie Cakes. As with the flowers, it was just the right mix of magical winter wonderland without feeling cliche”.

A winter wonderland bride
We love sustainable wedding wear! Here’s what Samantha told us about this bridal look:
“The dress is from my re-loved collection as I believe all dresses should be used more than once. This is so much more sustainable than every bride buying something brand new and it was the perfect fairytale style I was looking for. The faux fur was borrowed, the suit was hired from The Wedding Boutique Ilkeston, and the bride and groom wore shoes that they already owned.
The hair and make-up by Natalie at Max It Up Hair & Beauty and Ruby J Beauty finished the look perfectly, topping it all off with the most amazing headpiece from Honey and Ember.”
