How To Rock A Pirate Wedding
Screw being perfect
Don't worry about being or looking too neat and tidy. The relaxed vibe requires a relaxed attitude!
Eclectic Props
Collect rum bottles, rope, and wooden crates to style alongside bohemian elements such as pampas grass and candles.
Badass Wedding Wear
Make sure your wedding wear is as awesome as you are. Add a bit of black!
'Shipwrecked Chic' Wedding Styling
This pirate wedding is the brainchild of Nicki from Lilia Rose Floral Design, who was inspired to create this elopement style shoot, with a “castaway shipwrecked ruggedness.” With wedding styling by Chocolate Falls and photography by Jon Plimmer Photography, the shoot came together brilliantly.
The styling was built on pirate-inspired motifs, such as seashells, anchors, and rope. This was combined with eclectic vintage props, rum bottles, and pampas grass. Golden candelabras, charger plates and cutlery added a touch of pirate luxury. We’re loving the ‘bohemian opulence’ vibe with a little bit of ‘shipwrecked chic’!
Dear Emma Wedding Stationery designed this nautical wedding stationery, complete with blue ribbon and anchor charms. It goes brilliantly alongside the wedding cake by Peach Blossom Cakes, with sugar seashells, gold leaf, and splashes of ocean blue.

Epic Pirate Wedding Wear
What does a pirate power couple wear to tie the knot? This bride is rocking an off-the-shoulder wedding dress from Stephanie Kyles Bridal, with a shimmering sheer black overlay. Her hair, by Laura Price, is in a relaxed half-up style with pearl and seashell accessories, as well as a shell headband from Mason Blue Designs.
The groom is rocking a classic pirate-style shirt with an open waistcoat, tight black trousers, and a strong boot with buckle detailing. Naomi Kymberley Bridal created dramatic makeup looks for both bride and groom.
Nicki from Lilia Rose Floral Design explains wanting to emulate a look of “survival, determination, and love conquering all.” We think the team smashed it!
