pub crawl wedding
Jen and Darren’s pub crawl wedding was an absolute blast! They combined all of their favourite things into a fun and relaxed day filled with personality. They kept the traditions that felt good and ditched the ones that didn’t – simple! The result was a day that they’ll always look back on and smile, knowing they were true to themselves.

NEWLY
ENGAGED
Here’s what Jen told us about her and Darren’s pub crawl wedding:
“From the moment we were engaged, Darren and I instantly agreed on three main things about our wedding:
- The food had to be amazing
- Pub crawl
- Our Wedding, Our Way – Till Death do us Party!”
We wanted something relaxed with hints of tradition but something distinctly ‘us’. Our inspiration was literally ourselves; we wanted a day that reflected that! So, we set about incorporating our love of gin, beer, tattoos (a tiny bit of Harry Potter) a lot of skulls, and music! Our colour scheme was burnt orange and emerald green with hints of silver. We combined these colours we love with fun finishing touches and brilliant food options!”
pub crawl wedding
We absolutely love this pub crawl wedding idea! Jen and Darren gave their groomsman a high-vis jacket reading ‘Pub Crawl Master’. It was his job to lead 55 people around 4 pubs in Hitchin… an impressive feat!
What a fun alternative to a traditional wedding reception. It keeps things exciting with changes of scenery and allows guests to mingle in a relaxed and novel way.

fun wedding
details
When planning their pub crawl wedding, Jen and Darren got crafty. They handmade lots of things, including the tattoo station – Jen and her sister built the entire station themselves, including making the temporary tattoos! They had a selection of fun images including beer, Harry Potter, Blink-182, and their wedding hashtag #westwoodwedding.
Instead of a large-tiered wedding cake, Stacey at Mad Batter Baked Goods helped the couple find a more alternative option. They went for a more relaxed dessert table with small wedding cakes decorated with upside-down drips, skulls and lots of sparkle!
Jen also got her “tacky silver tassel arch of dreams” courtesy of Becky Wells Events, complete with a custom neon sign by Light Up Love.
They used their surname ‘Westwood’ brilliantly throughout the wedding, including the light-up ceremony letters, and the denim jacket customised by Jen.
