how to rock a diy festival wedding
do it your way
If you don't want to stick to traditions, you don't have to. Celebrate the day exactly how is most fun, comfortable, and enjoyable for you.
Save some pennies
You don't have to spend a fortune to have an amazing day that is completely bespoke and full of detail.
a family affair
You can still have the best fun whilst being inclusive of children and older relatives. Make sure there are elements included within your day to entertain the little ones, as well as aspects to keep older guests comfortable.
Sustainable & Budget-Friendly Wedding Ideas
Rach & Jake chose to hire a local village hall to keep costs to a minimum, decorating it with handmade, recycled and reused styling. They aimed for decor to either be recycled again at the end or gifted to then be reused, resulting in minimal wastage.
All florals apart from Rach’s bouquet were homegrown by the couple and displayed in bottles they had recycled.
Their rings were ethically sourced and produced, keeping sustainability at the core.

Picnics On Haybales

This DIY festival wedding had no dress code, allowing guests to come dressed casual and comfy so they could enjoy the garden party celebrations to the fullest.
Their wedding was also very welcoming of little ones! They created a designated play area and provided snacks and games to keep them entertained.
To save money on catering, guests were encouraged to bring their own picnics! Guests made themselves comfy on haybales, laid out under a ceiling of festoon lighting and bunting.
