enid & wednesday themed
wedding ideas
Like many others, we have fallen in love with ‘Wednesday’, the new Addams family Netflix spin-off. We were over the moon when Lucy from Waystone Films and Nat from Velvet Moon Ceremonies created this Enid & Wednesday-themed wedding shoot! It brilliantly captures both Wednesday’s darkness and Enid’s playful pastels.
Whether you’re a fan of the show, or are just looking for some pastel-goth wedding ideas, we’re excited to share this one with you!

Lucy from Waystone Films told us about the inspiration behind this Wednesday themed wedding shoot:
“We leaned into the idea that Enid and Wednesday would make a cute couple, and cast my friends Charlie (they/he) and Rachel (she/they) as Enid and Wednesday, a real LGBTQ+ couple who definitely embody something of the characters day to day!
The overall effect is gothic and playful, with a colourful ceremony space as well as a picnic setup – we wanted a set up where Charlie could sit down as they cannot stand for long periods, and show that you can also get great photos without having to be stood. We also incorporated some of their disability aids into shots for representation.
The venue was Pitcher And Piano in Nottingham which has an amazing stained glass window that Kirsty Rockett Photography has really used to full effect!”

wedding details
We love a themed wedding – it’s always interesting to see how couples and suppliers incorporate themed details into their big days. Here’s more from Lucy:
“We incorporated many nods to the show. The veils (by Star & Leaf) and cake (by Amy Bakers Cakes ) were inspired by the iconic window in the room that Wednesday and Enid share. We also had a typewriter, and a modelling chocolate “thing”!
The ceremony that Nat from Velvet Moon Ceremonies wrote had a tarot reading as an interesting gothic element and the video incorporates some Edgar Allan Poe poetry. To complete the character lineup, Alison, the harpist from Aelvenharp Weddings, and Nat the celebrant were given looks inspired by the sirens and Principal Weems.”

wedding wear
We are loving the outfits in this Wednesday themed wedding! Inspired by their respective colour palettes, the styling and dresses followed a black/pastel theme. The unique wedding dresses were made bespoke by Felicity Westmacott, and the pearl jewellery was made in white and pink versions by Rocks Revival. The wedding veils from Star & Leaf perfectly complete the looks.
Robyn from Perfect Silhouette Hairdressing gave Rachel a twist on the traditional Wednesday Addams look, with a gorgeous side braid, while Charlie had dyed their hair to be just like Enid’s! Nat the celebrant’s 40s hair and the siren look was also completed by Robyn, while Natalie Boland MUA employed a subtle highlighter technique used by the artists on the Netflix show to add subtle siren scales to Alison’s skin! She also created all of the make-up looks, adapting the colour palettes to each character.
