There’s one thing we really LOVE here at Unconventional Wedding and that is coloured wedding wear and dresses.
The traditional white wedding dress became popular in 1840 after the marriage of Queen Victoria. That’s 180 years ago! Now we’re lucky to be living in a time and place where individuality is celebrated, and fashion has become a huge melting pot of style, culture, and self-expression. The alternative wedding market is growing in parallel to the demand for doing things differently.
So, as the home of alternative weddings, we wanted to share with you some of our favourite colourful wedding wear and dresses! So whether you fancy purple, yellow, blue, pink, or green … the possibilities are endless!
If you’re sticking to a white wedding dress, you could still rock an ombre underskirt, veil, or cape. They’re the perfect way to mix things up a little bit. Alternatively, how about kitting out your bridal party out in personalised ombre creations?
