With dark winter nights now behind us, we can start getting excited for festivals! When Freeformimages Photography sent us these snaps from Sophie and Josh’s summer festival wedding, we knew we had to share them on the blog because of how colourful and happy they are! There are some wonderful DIY wedding ideas in here, as well as some fun alternative wedding entertainment inspo. Keep reading and be inspired by this beautiful day.

Sophie and Josh were inspired by Glastonbury to create their own summer festival wedding at Ash Barton Estate. Their intention was to create a day with lots of music, fun and colour – you can tell from the photos that they achieved exactly that!
Not one to shy away from DIY, Sophie styled the wedding and made all of the decorations herself, including adorable hand painted welly boot vases and ‘Collifest’ seating plan. They had reels of rainbow bunting, hanging disco balls, and enough fairy lights to illuminate a town! The flowers brought the colour too, and their four-tier, folk art inspired cake by Little Buttercup Cakery was a show stopper!

To really bring the fun to their summer festival wedding, Sophie and Josh hired MiniGolf2U for their alternative wedding entertainment. They provided a mini golf course and other activities including a duck shoot game! For their music, Brazilian Sway kicked off the day with an acoustic set. Later, TFI Britpop got the dancefloor going, and Silent Disco 4U to keep the guests dancing well into the night. Also, check out the light up dancefloor?! The couple look like they are having so much fun!
