Gary and Rachel's
alpaca wedding
On the blog today, we are excited to share Part 1 of the Alpaca Wedding of Gary and Rachel (featuring Lola the Cat but more on that to come in part 2!).
Gary and Rachel spent two years planning a celebration of love and alpacas with lots of fun surprises thrown in! Their day was all about designing the day they wanted with an alternative wedding twist.
So, join us for alternative bridal wear, quirky wedding bouquets, stacks of personalisation, live entertainment and more! Oh and of course ALPACAS! We know you are going to love it!

Alpacas
When Gary and Rachels realised that their beloved cat Lola would find the wedding day overwhelming they decided to invite some alpacas instead. Their guests loved the alpacas supplied by Alpaca Annie and there were a stand out feature of the wedding day.
Alternative wedding bouquets & buttonholes
The wedding day was colourful throughout and we absolutely LOVE these alternative buttonholes especially with the Troll having centre stage.
Check out Rachels stunning alternative bouquet below which also featured a troll with matching orange hair.
Outdoor wedding ceremony
We are big fans of outdoor wedding ceremonies here at Unconventional Wedding HQ. Gary and Rachel made use of the outdoor space at the Plough at Leigh to start the day off with a gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremony.

It's all about the surprises
Gary and Rachel’s favourite part of their wedding day was seeing their guests reactions to the Secret Singing Waiters from Sing Out Waitresses and Waiters and also their own entrances! They spent a lot of time planning an amazing atmosphere which was “us”.
So, their wedding guests were entertained throughout with live entertainment, photobooths and even a live portrait artist. It is certainly a day that their wedding guests will talk about for years to come.

Colourful wedding flowers
Looking to nail a bright and colourful wedding look? Dried flowers are your best friend as they are available in lots of assorted colours. They can also be re-used afterwards.
DIY wedding venue
The Plough at Leigh supported Gary and Rachel throughout (special shout out to Della and Becky!). This DIY wedding venue was decorated in matching colourful paper lanterns and bunting.
pets at weddings
It is natural to want to include your family pets in your wedding day, but if you think they will find it overwhelming its best to look for alternatives. If you have a confident pet, invite them along. We do have a soft spot for the odd Alpaca Wedding though!
